Take a breath. Here is what you can do right now:

  1. Don't delete, don't reply, don't threaten. Leave the page open and don't contact anyone who uploaded the content.
  2. Save evidence: link, screenshot, date, time, name of the account or site. That is all you need to do in the first hour.
  3. Bring in someone you trust. You don't have to go through every copy on your own.
  4. Then report step by step: first the platform where the content sits, then Google, then, if needed, a lawyer and the police.

A leak is an attack on you. It is not your failure. The rest of this article explains the steps in the order in which they make sense.

What should I do first if my OnlyFans content was leaked?

Save evidence before you report anything. Once a site removes the content, it is also gone as proof, and you will need exactly that proof later for reports, a lawyer or the police.

For every copy, write down:

Put this in a simple spreadsheet. It becomes your working list for every step that follows. The German law firm blog Herfurtner names securing evidence explicitly as the first step 1.

If searching through it all is too much, someone you trust can do it for you. You don't have to look at every copy yourself.

How do I report a leak to the platform?

You report the content directly to the site or service where it is hosted. Most platforms have a form for copyright infringement, often labelled "DMCA", "Copyright" or "Report".

About the contact address: many forms ask for your name and postal address. More on privacy in our article Privacy on OnlyFans.

Does OnlyFans remove leaks for me?

Partly. According to a takedown provider, OnlyFans has its own channel for content that comes from OnlyFans accounts 3. OnlyFans describes its copyright help on its Transparency Center page "Helping Creators Protect their Copyright" 17. We could not open that page while writing this article, so check the current details there before you rely on it.

Don't rely on OnlyFans alone either way. Report the copy yourself, in parallel, to the site that hosts it.

How do I get leaked content out of Google search?

For OnlyFans content you sold, the route is usually a copyright removal request, not Google's policy for intimate images. Google removes consensual intimate content from search through that policy only if it is not commercialized online or elsewhere 5. Content you sell on OnlyFans therefore generally does not qualify.

That is frustrating, but it is no reason to give up:

What is StopNCII and does it work for OnlyFans content?

StopNCII is a free service run by the charity SWGfL that can block re-uploads of your intimate images on partner platforms. Your device creates a digital fingerprint (a hash) of the image or video. Only that hash is sent; the file itself never leaves your device 67.

StopNCII's conditions: you are the person in the image, you have access to the file, the content is intimate, and you were 18 or older when it was taken 7. StopNCII does not say whether content you sold commercially is explicitly covered. Going by those criteria, creators do not appear to be excluded 7.

Two limits to know:

So StopNCII does not replace removal requests, but it is a sensible extra layer of protection against re-uploads.

Should I go to the police in Germany, Austria or Switzerland?

Reporting it can make sense, especially if you know or suspect who is behind the leak, or if it comes with threats or blackmail. Which legal steps are possible in your case, and whether any deadlines apply, a lawyer or a support service can tell you. The rules differ from country to country.

Where you live Where to report Extra help
Germany Any police station, or your federal state's online police station (Onlinewache). Take your evidence spreadsheet. HateAid advises people affected by digital violence for free 14; specialist counselling for sex workers through the bufas network 15
Austria, Switzerland Any police station A local lawyer for media, IT or copyright law

Honestly: investigations against anonymous uploaders abroad are often slow. Reporting can still be important, for example to document a trail.

When do I need a lawyer?

A lawyer for media, IT or copyright law is worth it once you know who did it, once the content won't go away, or once your legal name is involved. They can tell you which steps are open to you in your country.

Are takedown services worth paying for?

Takedown services can save you a lot of work, especially when your content shows up on many sites. They search for copies and send removal requests on your behalf.

Check carefully before you sign up:

Providers often advertise removals within 24 to 72 hours. That is not independently verified 3. The Swiss creator "Mrs. Nice" told Swiss broadcaster SRF that she works with a lawyer against illegal uploads, and that it costs time and money 10.

If you work with an agency, ask what exactly it does when there is a leak. The answer should be in the contract, in writing; see OnlyFans agency red flags. At maevia, finding leaked content and having it removed is part of our leak protection.

How do I protect myself from the next leak?

You can't fully prevent a leak, because no digital content is copy-proof. In a study with 43 OnlyFans creators, leaks were seen as practically unavoidable 12. You can, however, reduce the risk and the damage.

What the study participants do 12:

On top of that comes practical knowledge for which we have no study: no recognisable backgrounds such as windows, mail or licence plates, removing metadata such as GPS data before uploading, and a separate phone number and email address just for the business. Whether and how you can block countries or regions on OnlyFans is covered in Privacy on OnlyFans.

And think ahead about how you would react if family or an employer found out.

Where can I get emotional support?

You don't have to go through this alone. In Germany, HateAid advises people affected by digital violence for free, by phone at 030 252 088 38 (Mondays 10 am to 1 pm, Thursdays 3 pm to 6 pm) or through its contact form 14. Whether your case fits, it's best to ask them directly. Germany also has specialist counselling centres for sex workers, many of them in the bufas network 15.

A leak can feel like losing control. It's okay to do only what is necessary in the first few days and hand off the rest.

Frequently asked questions

All answers as a list
Do I have to tell OnlyFans that my content was leaked?

It can help, because according to a takedown provider OnlyFans has its own channel for content from OnlyFans accounts 3. Don't rely on that alone, though. Report the copy yourself, in parallel, to the site where it is hosted.

Can I find out who leaked my content?

Sometimes. Individual watermarks can show which account a copy came from. To get information about anonymous accounts, you usually need the police or a lawyer.

Why won't Google remove my images through the intimate images form?

Because Google only removes consensual content through that route if it has not been commercialized 5. For content you sold, use the copyright removal request.

Is a lawyer worth it after a leak?

Mainly if you know who did it, if content stays online despite your reports, or if your name is linked to the content. Clarify the costs in the first consultation.

Does deleting my account help?

It does not help against content that has already leaked, because the copies are elsewhere. Whether you carry on is your decision. Make it when the first wave is over, not in a panic.

What now?

If you are in the middle of a leak right now, start with the evidence spreadsheet and work through the steps one by one. maevia works with creators who live in Germany, Austria or Switzerland and speak native-level English. If you'd like support in the future and want to know whether working with us makes sense for you, apply now.
