How much should I charge for my OnlyFans subscription?
For most creators, a sensible starting point is somewhere around $8 to $15 a month. What matters is not the price alone, though, but what it says about your page and how many fans keep buying afterwards.
According to several vendor sites, OnlyFans lets you set a subscription between $4.99 and $49.99 a month, or run a free page 23. One agency site often recommends $7.99 to $14.99 3. That is experience, not an independent analysis. OnlyFans itself publishes no average subscription price.
What to orient yourself by:
- What does a subscriber get? A subscription with nothing but teasers behind it does not justify a high price. A feed with regular, good content does.
- How much traffic do you have? With little reach from outside, a very high subscription price is one more hurdle.
- How much time do you have for messages? Across the platform, only 27% of OnlyFans revenue came from subscriptions in the 2025 financial year, and the share is falling 10. If you want most of your income to come from PPV, you need time and structure for conversations. More in Is the subscription dead? PPV and messages.
One idea you hear a lot: a very low price can make a page look "cheap". There is no evidence for that on OnlyFans. It is a plausible assumption you can test, nothing more.
How much do you actually receive from a $10 subscription?
$8. OnlyFans processes every payment in US dollars and keeps 20%, and you carry currency conversion and bank fees yourself. Both are set out in its terms of service 1. That is also why you set your prices in dollars.
For readers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, this article uses a rough rate of $1 ≈ €0.89 (ECB reference rate of October 12, 2026: €1 = $1.1181) 11. A $9.99 subscription is therefore about €8.90 before OnlyFans takes its share.
What reaches you works out like this:
| Fan pays | OnlyFans keeps (20%) | Your share in $ | Roughly in € |
|---|---|---|---|
| $4.99 | $1.00 | $3.99 | approx. €3.55 |
| $9.99 | $2.00 | $7.99 | approx. €7.10 |
| $14.99 | $3.00 | $11.99 | approx. €10.70 |
| $25.00 | $5.00 | $20.00 | approx. €17.80 |
Bank fees, taxes and, depending on where you live, health insurance or social security contributions and any agency commission still come off that.
Free page or paid page: which makes more money?
Neither is better across the board. It depends on your reach, your time and the way you like to communicate.
| – | Paid page | Free page |
|---|---|---|
| Income | predictable, recurring subscription income plus PPV | almost only PPV and tips, fluctuating |
| Fans | fewer, but already "pre-qualified" because they paid | more, but many never buy anything |
| Effort | a little less sales pressure in the chat | a lot of work in messages |
| Agency benchmarks (not independently verified) | 15–30% buy PPV, 15–30% churn per month | 3–8% buy PPV, 40–60% churn per month |
The figures in the last row come from an agency table that does not state its method 3. Churn means the share of subscribers who leave each month. Treat the numbers as a direction, not a yardstick.
Some creators run both: a free page as a shop window and a paid page as the main offer. Agencies often call this the highest-earning setup 3. The catch: double the upkeep, double the content and double the messages. For a start, that is usually too much.
How do free trials work, and when are they worth it?
A trial is time-limited access that you hand out through its own link. It lowers the barrier for fans who do not know you yet, for example when they arrive through a collab or a specific platform.
One vendor site gives the example of one week of access for $3 2. Exactly which trial options OnlyFans offers, whether free or discounted, for how long and for how many fans, is not reliably documented in the sources available to us.
Trials make sense when:
- you want to test one clear traffic source (one link per channel, so you can see where fans come from),
- your feed already has enough content to make the trial worth it,
- you can be active in the first two days. According to an analysis by a tool vendor, 83% of payments happen in the first 48 hours after someone subscribes 4. That is not an independent study, but it matches the experience that the welcome makes the difference.
Trials make less sense when you use them permanently and everywhere. Then fans learn that nobody pays full price.
Are 3, 6 or 12-month subscription bundles worth it?
Yes, if you want to keep fans who are already convinced. Bundles give a discount for longer terms. One vendor site names 15 to 25% off for 3, 6 or 12 months as the usual range 2.
Worked example at $9.99 a month:
| Term | No discount | 15% off | 25% off |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 months | $29.97 | approx. $25.47 | approx. $22.48 |
| 6 months | $59.94 | approx. $50.95 | approx. $44.96 |
| 12 months | $119.88 | approx. $101.90 | approx. $89.91 |
For you, the upside is predictability. With typical churn of 30 to 50% a month 35, the average fan stays only a few months. Someone who pays six months up front is guaranteed to stay longer. For the fan, the upside is the price.
One point of fairness: a fan who pays for 12 months is counting on you to deliver for 12 months. Only offer long bundles if you can realistically plan for that.
How much should I charge for PPV on OnlyFans?
Build a PPV price ladder: start new fans with low-priced offers and raise prices with exclusivity, effort and relationship. PPV stands for pay-per-view, meaning content fans unlock individually, either in a message or as a locked post in your feed.
Four questions help with every single price. They are based on a framework other agencies use too 6:
- Effort: How much work went into the content?
- Exclusivity: Is it going to everyone as a mass message, or only to this one fan?
- Relationship: How long have you known each other, and what has the fan bought before?
- Fit with your subscription: Is the price in a sensible proportion to your subscription price?
An example ladder. The ranges come from a chat software vendor that quotes them in euros 7. We have carried them over to OnlyFans in dollars; the order of magnitude stays similar. They are not independently verified.
| Step | Content | Range according to the vendor |
|---|---|---|
| Entry offer for new fans | a single photo set or short clip | approx. $5–15 |
| Photos | sets with several images | approx. $5–25 |
| Short videos | a few minutes | approx. $10–35 |
| Longer videos | more elaborate, longer | approx. $25–80 |
| Bundles | several pieces together | approx. $20–100 |
| Custom content | made to order | from approx. $50 |
On custom content, meaning content made to an individual request, the sources agree on one point: payment up front 38. Many also suggest a minimum per order and a surcharge for rush jobs 38. Important: even paid customs can be clawed back later through chargebacks, when a fan's bank reverses the payment 1. So agree clearly beforehand what you will and will not do.
How do I know if my price is too high or too low?
Most reliably from your purchase rate: what percentage of the fans who see an offer actually buy it? Vendors give rough benchmarks 37:
- under 10%: too expensive or badly timed
- 15–30%: a good range
- over 40%: probably too cheap
The thresholds vary by source, and terms like "open rate" and "purchase rate" are not used consistently 7. What matters more than the absolute number is comparing yourself with yourself.
How to test properly:
- Change one thing per test. Price, or time of day, or audience, not everything at once.
- Compare like with like. New fans buy differently from long-time fans.
- Wait for several rounds before you decide. A single evening tells you little.
- Keep notes. Who bought what, what does someone not like? PPV often fails because of missing notes and bad timing, not because of the content 6.
Can I raise my subscription price later?
Yes, but it has consequences: when you raise your subscription price, existing subscriptions do not automatically renew at the new price, according to OnlyFans' terms of service 1. A price increase can therefore cost you existing fans.
What follows from that:
- Announce increases and explain what is changing.
- Consider applying the new price mainly to new subscribers, for example by offering bundles or promotions to your existing fans.
- Do not raise prices constantly. Frequent jumps feel unpredictable.
Where does smart pricing end and manipulation begin?
It ends where you deceive fans or exploit their weaknesses. Prices can be well designed. They cannot rest on false claims.
What we do not consider part of it:
- Fake scarcity: "Today only" when it is on offer again tomorrow. "Only three spots" when there is no limit.
- Bait-and-switch: a PPV that contains something other than what the description promised.
- Emotional pressure: invented emergencies, fake jealousy or guilt to trigger a purchase.
- Exploiting loneliness or compulsive spending: when a fan is clearly spending beyond his means, that is a signal to slow down, not to push harder.
- False promises of a real relationship or a meeting.
This is not only a matter of attitude. In the US, class actions are under way that involve, among other things, fans being deceived in chats 9. And one analysis shows how heavily revenue can depend on a few big spenders: 0.01% of fans brought in 20% of revenue there 4. If you depend on a few fans, you are vulnerable, and you carry a particular responsibility.

What is the average OnlyFans subscription price?
OnlyFans does not publish an official average. According to vendor sites, the possible range is $4.99 to $49.99 a month, or free 23. Many recommendations sit between about $8 and $15.
How much do I get from a $10 subscription?
$8, because OnlyFans keeps 20% 1. In euros that is roughly €7.10. Bank fees, taxes and other costs still come off that.
Should I start with a low price and raise it later?
That can work, but there is a catch: if you raise your subscription price, existing subscriptions do not automatically renew at the new price 1. So set your starting price so that you will not need a big increase soon afterwards.
How many PPV mass messages are too many?
One vendor recommends no more than 2 to 3 a week 7. That is not proven, but in practice too many sales messages lead to cancellations. Mass messages should start conversations rather than sell directly.
Do I need trials if I am just starting out?
Not necessarily. Trials mainly help when you are deliberately testing traffic from outside and already have enough content in your feed. More on getting started in Your first 90 days.
